Eagle Springs Farm w/ Hipcamp Sites We arrived late in the evening at dusk and attempted to camp at the farm, but the field grass was over 1 foot high, so we were not able to put up our tent. The fenced-in camp is darker than the surrounding grasslands. On a steep oak-dotted hillside high above the Sunol Valley, Sunol's backpack campground has some great scenic views, and although it's just a few minutes' drive from the suburban Bay Area, feels remarkably remote.
